Tools: Sajilo docs

The date converter, world clocks, a stopwatch, emergency numbers and useful websites, and calculators for land, gold weight, VAT and interest.

The Tools tab has everyday helpers in two groups. Click one to open it, and the back arrow to return. Results update as you type; in the calculators, click any result to copy it.

Everyday#

Directory#

Phone numbers and websites you might need, in one place.

Switch between Phone numbers and Websites & apps.
Filter phone numbers by Emergency, Government, Health and Utilities; websites by Checkers, Portals and Apps.
Search for a service or number.
Click a number to call it (with a calling app), or a website to open it.

Second Clock#

Keep an eye on family and colleagues abroad.

Search for a city or region.
Click it to add it. Added cities show their local time, and +1 or −1 when they’re on another day.

Your cities also appear on the Today screen under the date. Click ✕ to remove one.

Stopwatch#

Tap the dial to start, and tap it again to pause. The gold arc goes round once a minute.

Lap marks a lap: it leaves a notch on the dial and a row in the list, with that lap’s time and the total. From three laps on, the fastest is green and the slowest red.
Reset winds it back to zero.
On a keyboard: Space starts and pauses, L laps, R resets.
It keeps running when Sajilo is closed, and after a restart. The Stopwatch card on the Tools page shows the time and has its own play/pause button.
In the mini view, a stopwatch with time on it takes the second line; click it to pause or carry on. Reset it and the strip goes back to what you chose.

Calculators#

Land#

Enter an area and pick its unit: Ropani, Aana, Paisa, Daam, Bigha, Kattha, Dhur, square feet or square metres. Sajilo shows it in:

the hill system: ropani–aana–paisa–daam;
the Terai system: bigha–kattha–dhur;
square feet and square metres.

1 ropani = 16 aana = 5,476 sq ft. 1 bigha = 20 kattha = 72,900 sq ft; 1 kattha = 20 dhur.

Weight#

Convert between tola, grams, 10 g and troy ounces, as used for gold and silver. 1 tola = 11.6638 g.

VAT#

Enter an amount and see the price before VAT, the VAT and the total, at Nepal’s 13%. Turn on Price already includes VAT to take VAT out of a price instead of adding it.

Interest#

Enter the principal, the rate % per year and the number of years (quarters are allowed) to see the simple interest and the total.
