The Today screen

Today is the first tab and the screen Sajilo opens on. Everything on it is a shortcut: click a part to go deeper.

The date at the top

• The date tile shows today’s Bikram Sambat day and weekday. Click it to open today’s full page: tithi, festivals, sunrise, Rahu Kaal and the panchang.
• Next to it: the Nepali month and year, today’s date in English, and a clock.
• The clock always shows Nepal time, even if your computer is set to another country, so it’s useful from abroad.
• At the right: Settings (gear) and Quit (power). When an update is ready, an update button appears here too; see Updating Sajilo.

Notices

Occasionally a short notice from Sajilo appears under the date, for example an IPO window or a fix you should know about. Click it to open its link. Close it with ✕ and it won’t come back. Urgent notices can’t be closed; they disappear on their own when they expire.

World clocks

If you’ve added cities in Tools › Second Clock, their times show here as small chips, with a +1 or −1 when that city is already on another day. Drag a chip to reorder; hover over it and click ✕ to remove it. See Tools.

The calendar

This month in Bikram Sambat, with the English dates underneath. Holidays are red, and a small dot marks days where you’ve added a plan. Click any day to open it. More about the calendar →

Up next

A short list of what’s coming:

• the next festival and the next public holiday;
• an IPO that’s open now (if Bazar is on); issues you’ve marked as applied are left out;
• Keeper items due within a week;
• a SIP payment due within three days.

Anything urgent, like an IPO closing today or a payment due, moves to the top in gold. Click a row to open it, or All events › for the full list of upcoming festivals.

At a glance

• Routine: when your next break is, and how much water you’ve had, if you use Routine.
• Weather: your home place’s temperature, high and low. Click for the full forecast.
• NEPSE index: today’s value and change. Click for Bazar › Stocks. It updates live while the market is open.

Under the cards, Updated … ago tells you how fresh the weather and market figures are.
