Settings: Sajilo docs

Every Sajilo setting, tab by tab: appearance, language and numerals, the menu bar date, modules, reminders, privacy and backups.

Open Settings with the gear at the top right of Sajilo, or from the tray icon’s right-click menu (Settings…) on Windows and macOS. Settings has four tabs.

Display

Appearance

Theme: System, Light or Dark.
Text size: Small, Default or Large.
Language: नेपाली or English.
Numerals: Devanagari (२०८३) or Latin (2083).

How the date looks in your menu bar or tray:

Format: Short, Full (the default), With flag, Gregorian, Numeric, or Custom…, where you choose whether to show the Nepal flag and the BS year.
Show time: adds the time in Nepal.

On Windows the tray shows the Nepal flag, and the date appears when you hover over it.

Startup

Launch at login: start Sajilo with your computer. It’s on after installing; once you turn it off, it stays off.
Show Dock icon (macOS only): show Sajilo in the Dock as well.

Modules

Switch parts of Sajilo on or off: Weather, Forex, News, Bazar, Rashifal, Radio, Second Clock, Keeper and Routine. A switched-off module disappears from the tabs and the Today screen, and stops its reminders and background updates.

Some modules have their own options here:

Weather › Home place: the place shown on Today, from the places you’ve pinned on the Weather screen.
Forex › Currencies on the card: your favourite currencies.

System

Updates

Check for updates, and install one when it’s ready. See Updating Sajilo.

Reminders

How reminders appear (Card or Notification), and switches for Public holiday tomorrow, Festival tomorrow, IPO closing day and SIP payment due. See Reminders.

Privacy

Help improve Sajilo sends one anonymous count a day: the app version (and the one before it), your operating system and processor type, and a random number that isn’t tied to you. It never includes your dates, notes or what you look at. Turn it off here.

Backup

Export Sajilo data… saves one file with your day plans, Keeper (including photos) and settings.
Import Sajilo data… restores that file, for example on a new computer.

Importing replaces all of Sajilo’s data on this computer with what’s in the file. News, prices and weather aren’t in backups; they’re fetched again.
