Using Sajilo

Exchange rates (forex)

Nepal Rastra Bank's buying and selling rates, a converter between rupees and other currencies, and your favourite currencies.

The official Nepal Rastra Bank rates are in Bazar › Forex.

Convert money

At the top is a converter:

  1. Type an amount.
  2. Pick a currency.
  3. Click swap to change direction.

Foreign currency → rupees uses NRB’s buying rate; rupees → foreign currency uses the selling rate. The line under the result says which rate was used, because banks and money changers work the same way.

The rates

  • Favourites come first, then All currencies.
  • Each row shows the buying rate, with sell underneath.
  • Some currencies are quoted per 100 or per 10 units, like the Japanese yen; the row says so.

At the bottom: when NRB published the rates, and a link to nrb.org.np. On days NRB doesn’t publish, the latest rates still in force are shown.

Choose your favourites

Favourites are set in Settings › Modules › Forex › Currencies on the card. The converter starts on your first favourite.

Forex can be switched off in Settings › Modules › Forex; the tab in Bazar then disappears.
