LatestImportant fix for Ubuntu 26.04
If Sajilo 0.1.32 kept logging you out on Ubuntu, this fixes it. On Ubuntu 26.04, the new top-bar icon in 0.1.32 could crash GNOME a few seconds after login, and because Sajilo starts at login, it happened every time. Sorry about that.
On GNOME, Sajilo is back to the icon it had before, with the Nepali date beside it. Double-click the flag to open Sajilo, or click it once and choose Open Sajilo. The first time you run it on GNOME, Sajilo reminds you with a notification.
Stuck in the loop? Press Ctrl+Alt+F3, log in, remove Sajilo (
sudo apt remove sajilo), reboot, then install 0.1.33.Your rashifal every morning
Choose your sign in Rashifal, and Sajilo can show today's reading when you first sit down at your computer.
- It comes after a few minutes of use, not at a fixed time, so it doesn't land while you're logging in.
- Once a day, and never after noon. If you've already read it in the Rashifal tab, it doesn't come.
- Turn it on from the Rashifal tab, or in Settings › System › Reminders › Daily rashifal.
Mini view
Press the new button beside the pin to shrink Sajilo into a small strip you can leave on your desktop: today's date in BS and AD, Nepal time, and one more line.
- Click that line to switch between the next festival or holiday, the weather, NEPSE, the dollar rate and the radio. The same choice is in Settings › Display › Mini view.
- It stays open and remembers where you put it. The arrows on the strip open the full view again.
Stopwatch
A new Stopwatch in Tools. Tap the dial to start and pause.
- Lap leaves a mark on the dial. The fastest lap turns green and the slowest red.
- It keeps running when Sajilo is closed, and shows on the mini view while it runs.
- Keyboard: Space to start or pause, L for a lap, R to reset.
Accent colours
Settings › Display › Accent colour now has nine colours, each named for something from home: Marigold (सयपत्री, the gold Sajilo always had), Himalayan blue, Chandi (चाँदी, for no colour at all), Phewa, Ilam tea, Makhamali (मखमली), Kamal (कमल), Dhaka red and Rudraksha. Each one works in both light and dark mode.
Break reminders
- Water: see today's progress on the card, and log a glass (+250 ml) or a bottle (+500 ml).
- Meals and bedtime: "Going to eat" and "Going to sleep" buttons, and "Remind in 15 min" instead of 5.
- Look away: if the countdown ring isn't moving, the card tells you why: hands off the mouse and keyboard.
- Jokes come every few reminders, so they stay funny for longer.
Fixes
- Festival reminders are on by default again.
- The stand-up and water reminders no longer arrive at the same moment and hide each other.
- Switching signs in Rashifal no longer makes the page jump.
- Today's date is easier to read on the calendar highlight, whichever accent colour you pick.
